Zhou Zhuang 周庄

I grew up in a small town similar to Zhou Zhuang. Because my hometown made very shortsighted decision: demolishing those old but ancient charming houses, and filled the rivers surrounding and within the town with soils and cements, and paved the way for modern high-rise buildings and wide streets, so that my home town no longer likes Zhou Zhong, a classic southern-style village. I came to Zhou Zhuang, mainly for a nostalgic reason: refreshing my memory of my hometown where I spent my very first 17 years.

我在一个类似周庄的小镇长大。 因为我的家乡做了一个非常短视的决定：拆除那些陈旧但故雅的房子，用泥土和水泥填满环城和城内的河流，为现代化的高楼和宽阔的街道铺路，从而我的家乡不再像周庄一样的江南的经典村落。 我来到周庄，主要是怀念：让我的记忆重回我度过第一个17年的家乡。
