The Magnificent Frigatebird (Fregata magnificens) is a large tropical seabird and has long, narrow wings, deeply forked tail, and exceptional soaring ability. It spends much of its life flying over warm oceans, rarely landing except to breed or rest. Males are recognized by their striking red inflatable throat pouch, which they display during courtship, while females have a white breast and throat. With an impressive wingspan reaching over two meters, frigatebirds skillfully glide on air currents and snatch fish from the ocean surface. They also steal food from other seabirds, earning the nickname “pirates of the sky” for their opportunistic feeding behavior.

丽色军舰鸟（学名：Fregata magnificens）是一种大型热带海鸟，有细长的双翼、深分叉的尾部以及卓越的翱翔能力。它们一生中的大部分时间都在温暖的海洋上空飞翔，除了繁殖或休息外极少着陆。雄鸟的特征是拥有醒目的红色可充气喉囊，并在求偶期间进行展示；雌鸟则拥有白色的胸部和喉部。军舰鸟的翼展可达两米以上，它们能巧妙地利用气流滑翔，并从海面捕食鱼类。它们还会掠夺其他海鸟的食物，因这种投机性的觅食行为而赢得了“天空海盗”的称号。
