The Orange-chinned Parakeet (Brotogeris jugularis) is a small, energetic parrot commonly found in the lowland forests, farmlands, and urban parks of Central America, including Costa Rica. Its bright green plumage provides excellent camouflage, while the tiny orange patch beneath its chin gives the species its name. Highly social, these parakeets are usually seen in noisy flocks, constantly chattering as they fly between trees in search of fruits, seeds, flowers, and nectar. Agile acrobats, they often hang upside down while feeding. Their lively behavior, synchronized flight, and cheerful calls make them delightful subjects for wildlife photographers.
橙颏鹦哥（Brotogeris jugularis）是一种小型、活泼的鹦鹉，常见于中美洲（包括哥斯达黎加）的低地森林、农田和城市公园中。其鲜绿色的羽毛提供了极佳的伪装，而喙下方那一小片橙色斑块, 该物种名称正是由此而来。橙颏鹦哥高度群居，通常成群出现，就是有点吵闹，在树间飞行, 寻觅水果、种子、花朵和花蜜时不停叽叽喳喳。它们身手敏捷，善于杂耍般的动作，取食时常倒挂悬吊。活泼的行为、同步的飞行姿态以及欢快的鸣叫，使它们成为野生动物摄影师喜爱的拍摄对象。
