Rhinos are most commonly seen in several national parks and wildlife reserves across Africa.

In Kenya, Ol Pejeta Conservancy, located in Laikipia County, probably is the most successful rhino conservation in housing a significant population of both black and white rhinoceros. We saw the most rhinos in this conservancy.

The white rhinoceros is characterized by its wide mouth and gentle disposition, and the black rhinoceros, with its pointed upper lip and often have more aggressive nature. These creatures are herbivores, feeding on grasses and shrubs. Rhinos face the constant threat of poaching due to the demand for their horns in illegal wildlife trade and they are endangered due to habitat loss and poaching pressures.
