The White-collared Manakin (Manacus candei) is a small, spectacular rainforest bird found in Central America, including Costa Rica. Males are distinguished by glossy black plumage, a bright white collar, yellow legs, and a unique courtship display. During breeding season, males gather in leks and perform rapid wing-snapping, snapping sounds, and energetic movements to attract females. They mainly feed on fruits and insects in humid forests and forest edges.
白头娇鹟（Manacus candei）是一种体型小巧、极具观赏价值的热带雨林鸟类，分布于包括哥斯达黎加在内的中美洲地区。雄鸟具有光泽亮丽的黑色羽毛、醒目的白色颈圈和黄色腿部，是其最显著的外形特征。繁殖季节，雄鸟会聚集在“求偶场”中，通过快速拍打翅膀发出清脆的“啪啪”声，并配合独特的舞蹈动作吸引雌鸟，这是该物种最特别的行为特征。白头娇鹟主要生活在潮湿森林和森林边缘，以果实和昆虫为食。
